![[ALBUM REVIEW]:
Coldplay released a free live album on May 15th as a thank you to their fans; needless to say, the internets lost their shit and crashed the website where the download was made available making it tough to download that first day. The nine track album starts with ‘Glass of water’ from the groups Prospekt’s March EP, the song may have been one of those tracks you skipped over, but the live version will pull you back in easily making it one of the top tracks in this album. Obviously having more songs from Viva la Vida, the group also decided to throw in a little more older and recognizable songs such as the ever popular ‘Clocks’ and ‘Fix You’. I’ve never been one to like live albums due to quality, but I’ve made an exception in this case seeing as how clear you can hear both the band and just enough of the crowd to make it feel like you were actually there watching the band. Drummer Will Champion also takes a rare lead vocal for the live version of the song ‘Death Will Never Conquer’. My only complaint with his CD is that ‘lost!’ is no where to be found, which is easily one of the songs that draws you in because it sounds so great live, but other then that, another great CD from the band, and you didn’t even have to pay for it.
Tracks to listen to:1. Glass of Water2. Fix You3. Death And All His Friends

![[ALBUM REVIEW]:Green Day’s eighth studio album (Being released tomorrow) follows in the same sense of story telling as American idiot did, and even though this is not a sequel to the Grammy award winning album, it still brings something new to the table. This time we end up following two new characters named Christian and Gloria, a young couple dealing with the mess our 43rd president left behind. The album officially starts at track two, 21st Century Breakdown. The track starts out with a steady rhythm but suddenly branches out into two other songs in the same track, something Green Day is a little more familiar with. Getting towards the middle of the album there are times when some of the songs start to blend together and sound the same, but it doesn’t happen too often, nor does it get annoying. The feel of most of the album is a little more harder than previous Green Day releases, but still keeps the same style the band is known for, especially in the song ‘Peacemaker’ which reminded me a lot of their song ‘Misery’. Even if you’re not into the whole story telling concept of the album (I got lost halfway into it) this 18 track CD is filled with plenty of other tracks besides the singles to throw onto your iPod and enjoy.
Tracks to listen to: 1. Before the Lobotomy2. Murder City3. Peacemaker

Fun Fact: They actually wanted to call this cd ‘liquid dookie’ but felt it was too gross. True story!
